Lynn McClintock Neumann Sept. 14, 1950 – Mar 1, 2014 Canterbury- Lynn McClintock Neumann 63, of Canterbury, CT passed away March 1, 2014 after gracefully battling cancer for over 9 years. Lynn was born in Roswell New Mexico, daughter of the late Edward and Velna McClintock of Lisbon, CT. A 1968 Graduate of Norwich Free Academy, Lynn went on to own and operate the Carlyn Beauty Salon in Taftville, CT for over 20 years. Lynn was a dedicated member of the Canterbury Fire department for over 25 years. At the department, she served the community as an MRT on the ambulance, was a member on the board of directors and chaired various committees. Her passions included gourmet cooking for the many parties she and her husband hosted, gardening, crossword puzzles and caring for her animals. Side by side, most every day she and her husband created many memories at Sandy Point, the cabins in Thompson woods and skiing at Mount Snow. Some of her most cherished moments were those in the last five years spent with her grandchildren. Lynn leaves behind her husband Wilbur D. Neumann, her two girls Heather Neumann and Jessica Neumann Bradley, son-in-law Michael Bradley, four grandchildren, her brother Gary McClintock, niece Mary McClintock and nephew Matthew McClintock. Lynn will forever be missed by her family and amazing network of friends. Memorial calling hours will be held Sunday, March 9 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home 595 Norwich Rd, Plainfield, CT. A celebration of Lynn's life will follow at 2 p.m. at the Imperial Room 34 Furnace St, Danielson, CT. I have never met a more exceptional or giving person. She had a glow about her. Although I did not know her well I will miss her. She and Bill were a great couple.

Lynn was such a great person and I consider myself lucky to have met her. I met her through girl scouting many years ago and she also cut my hair on a regular basis at Carylyn's in Taftville. I always looked forward to my visit with her at the salon as we exchanged family news. The celebration of her life on Sunday was beautifully put together and I know she was looking down on all of us so proud to have been a part of all of our lives.

Lynn touched so many people in her short life and will be sadly missed by everyone. There are no words that could ever be said to ease the pain you are all going through. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. May you find some comfort in knowing that Lynn is no longer suffering and is finally at peace. Lynn has, without a doubt, earned her wings and is now reunited with her Mom in heaven. Lynn always has, and will continue to, watch over you all from above. Rest in peace my friend.?

To our dearest Heather and her family, Mark and I were so saddened to read about your mother's passing. Your mother fought such a long, heartbreaking battle, but take comfort knowing that you, your sister, and your father were with her every minute of that battle. Her memory will be treasured by so many for years to come.
All our love to you, Heather, and our deepest sympathy to you and your family. XOXOX

Lynn was a special person, and a loyal younger friend to my mother, Lillian - a close friend of Lynn's mother, Velna. Lynn always went out of her way to include those in need with kind and thoughtful gestures. I was so saddened to hear that she has passed. A brave, talented and humble girl, I am sure she will be missed forever.
