Lloyd R. Denomme September 15, 1934 - August 19, 2013 Jewett City - Lloyd R. Denomme, 78, passed away Monday morning at Kindred Crossings Healthcare in New London. He was born September 15, 1934 in Jewett City son to the late Francis and Alice (Kane) Denomme. On September 7, 1957 he was married to Beatrice (Gibeault) Denomme who survives him. Lloyd was the owner of the local pool room in Jewett City for many years and was retired from Kaman Aircraft retiring in 1989. He enjoyed working around the yard, making jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and billiards but his greatest love came when playing with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Michael L. Denomme and wife Diane; sister Claire "Betty" Longo; grandchildren Brandi Arpin and husband Adam, Rebecca McGarry and husband Jason; great grandchildren Dillan and Kaydance Arpin, Nicholas, Hayley and Merida McGarry. Lloyd is predeceased by his brothers Francis, Lawrence, Romeo, Roger and sisters Irene, Doris, Rita and Theresa. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lloyd's memory to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312 or the Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011Washington, DC 20090-6011 A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary's Church in Jewett City on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. The funeral will arrange at church. Calling hours will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT . Interment will follow the funeral mass in Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold. Bea, Jewett City has lost one of its true characters. I have many good memories of the time I spent hanging out at Lloyd's Poolroom and him talking the talk as he circled the pool table. Never a dull moment with Lloyd around. Take care, our thoughts are with you.
