I had the privilege of getting to know Bill during our many years of working with NASCSA together. Bill was one of the more important contributors to NASCSA and is sorely missed. Bill and I especially bonded over our mutual love of '60s rock music. Bill himself was a tremendous musician. My heartfelt condolences to Phyllis and the family.

Oh wow! That was my first thought and I'm so sorry to hear this news. My condolences to the Ward Family.

I first worked with Bill closely in the mid-80's when he was the Director of the Drug Control Unit in CT. and I was a Supervisory Investigator for the DEA in Boston - covering much of New England. Bill could always - repeat - always be counted on to help me and to work together collaboratively on projects (New England Conference for Drug Control Officials) and investigations. He taught me a great deal and I appreciated the times we spent together. I now live in GA, but as a native New Englander - Bostonian, I will miss being able to call him if needed.

Oh wow. So sorry.

So sorry to hear about this, I knew Bill was a great guy from the first time I met him.

I send my best wishes to the Ward family. Bill was my sister's age, and I went to school with Cynthia. I remember all of us in the neighborhood walking to NFA together. And of course, our days at St. Patrick's were very special. I did not know Cindy was in Maine. So sorry for your loss.
