my deepest sympathy to the family
February 26, 2014
Marcia and family,

Ray was an outstanding leader of the Shenandoah County Democrats, a very willing and positive volunteer for all of our events and activities, and a very good friend. I will miss him, and will always remember him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow and remembrance.

Ray was such an inspiration and will always hold a special place in my heart. I remember meeting him as a young child and he was always full of life and provided great knowledge and words of wisdom. The summer times were filled with seeing him at the local Rebel game where he would occasionally be smoking his cigars. As I entered into my financial career I served in Rotary with Ray where once again he would be someone whom I would appreciate his compassion for others. Ray's legacy has shown to be so true as his love for those around him and practicing stewardship was always prominent as he lived out his life.
Ray thank you for the compassion you have bestowed to my family and I- we will miss you greatly.
PS I will always cherish our bottle of chardonnay from Cave Ridge- I know that Randy was so blessed to have worked with you as call you a friend.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ray's family during this challenging time.
