There is a yawning hole in our hearts and our community along the Back Road. At his winery or at lunch with friends Brad always brought a welcoming smile and a good story or two. He will be missed.

Krista, our thoughts are with you. If there's anything we can do to help please let us know.

I can't imagine going to the winery and not seeing Brad saunter over and sit with us a bit to chat. We always enjoyed our time with him, often with dogs at our feet. Krista would join us with a dog biscuit and life was sweet. He will be so missed.

We are so sad to hear of Brad's passing and are holding space for Krista and her family.

Brad was a stalwart friend and soulmate. He and Krista were always gracious in welcoming folks to their Vineyard. His service in the U.S. Army as a parachutist was brave and exemplary. His service to Shenandoah County's agricultural producers was wise and measured.

Brad was one of the first people we met on moving here, and his welcome was as big as all Texas. God, will I miss his hospitality, his experience, his generosity, his work ethic and his wry humor.

Everyone must help Krista through this difficult time.

Have known Brad for nearly 40 years, went skydiving together in California, kept in touch as he and Krista moved to Texas, and then visited and helped at their winery in Virginia for years. My husband Greg and I are overwhelmed with grief at the loss of a most wonderful man.

We are so sad to hear of Brads passing. He was such a sweet, and friendly man. We always enjoyed talking with him. We will miss him greatly.
