I still miss Offerman (what I called him cause I couldn't say Dr and it felt wrong calling him George, he found it funny) almost everyday. He had such a profound effect on my life that I don't know who I would be right now without him. I try to remind myself everyday what he taught me when things get hard. I repeat to myself "W.W.O.S.", What Would Offerman Say as a slogan all the time. He also found that funny lol. I will always treasure his memory.

I called my regular call and found my George was gone just now. Anyone who ever met George Offerman knew what a devoted and energy filled man is like. Constantly and forever upbeat, inspiring, principled, conservative, vigilant, hard working, caring and an unrecognized humble force that sustained all of us.

Along with just a few others, George was part of my own election, as Supervisor for Sterling (now for 15 years) against the odds in 1999 and deferred any and all recognition for this historic change in the direction of Sterling.

Frankly, Sterling would have been destroyed by outside forces if George had not helped rescue it from neglect.

Always opinionated there was never any secret of his pro-life leadership at the highest level in our nation's history.

George Offerman stood for life taller and longer and in more places than most Americans.

God loaned us all George so that we could see an Angel at work.

Prayers for the entire family friends and brewers who were with George at the end and for Kathy Offerman who we all must thank for sharing George with us all.

To the Offerman family,
Of course, my sincere condolences to you all.
I have known George for several years and enjoyed speaking with him and sharing with him, whether it might be about his travels and beer interests, like last year, or about the upcoming trip; or about my family concerns.

I shall miss the times with him and his direct advice, which he offered.

In prayer and thankful remembrance.

My deepest condolences go out to your family for your loss. I was a patient of George's for many years and he helped me in so many ways but most importantly from a religious view. My faith was renewed by talking with him. George was a kindly soul and I know that God has welcomed this happy warrior into his hands. God bless your family and I am very grateful to have known him. He will be missed.

Kathy,I am so sorry for your loss. I met George this year at MashOut and had the chance to visit with him and the other NoVA Home Brewers on Friday. They are such a committed group, all supporting one another. This was such a shock, and my heart goes out to you and your family.

I was shocked at the news of George's passing. During the past year, he was very encouraging and of great help to me in my own situation. He was adamant about getting me to go forward in my life, not back.

I was looking forward yet again to seeing him (at my sessions with him). He was very good at his profession. And for me, he was also a very caring man--and even good company. I will miss all that, and remember him.

My condolences to his family.

George was a fantastic therapist. He touched my life during the short time I was honored to know him. I am shocked and saddened by his unexpected passing, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

George was like a tall blooming Cherry Blossom tree by the church. Always.
