Mary Ella Sager, 93, of Front Royal, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 120 West Main Street, Front Royal with Father Phillip Cozzi officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Winchester, Virginia.
Mrs. Sager was born February 24, 1925 in Glenn Echo, Maryland to the late Edgar and Johanna Carroll Ryon.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Ward Sager, and eight siblings.
She was a registered nurse working with hospice and providing homecare.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a member of Legion of Mary.
Survivors include her two daughters, Cecelia Sager Engelstad of Woodstock, Virginia and Christina S. Furtado of Front Royal; 10 grandchildren, Dominic, Thomas, Regina, Joseph, Malia, Christina, Teresa, Marcellino, Lucia and Victor; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Maddox Funeral Home, 105 West Main Street, Front Royal.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Front Royal Pregnancy Center, 11 S. Royal Avenue, Front Royal, VA 22630.

I will be keeping Cecelia, Tina and all my dear cousins and family in prayer during this time of grieving for their wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and Great-Aunt. My Aunt Mary was definitely a precious jewel and will be dearly missed.
