Ed Keeney was a major influence on my life and carrer as a pilot. Ed helped me get into flight school and mentored me for years to come! I attribute most of my success to Ed as he guided me every time I thought of him and when I would think "What would Ed do." I will miss him with all my heart. I love you Ed... Ed was trully a National Treasure.

This is a poem I wrote for my Daddy

Life is a bittersweet symphony,

have faith and death's not a mystery,

Sweet memories are a distraction,

to your passing and this painful reaction,

Your soul is now boundless, weightless and free,

off into eternity,

I searched my heart and my soul,

I found you there so I search nomore,

You lived graceful and died faithful,

faught till the end and walked when not able,

Forever will I memorize,

everything that you symbolize,

You were like a star in the night,

when I was lost, you held the light,

a navigation to my destination,

directing me from left to right,

Even with vultures and thieves at my back,

you raised me to never give up and to always fight back,

and even if I didnt always listen,

you were my role model, my hero and a Christian,

Your patient talks and long walks,

teachings of honesty and lectures on modesty,

you represented a man of quality,

You'll never get to walk me down the isle,

but because of you, I set my standards higher and longer than the Nile,

In my darkest hours and deepest despair,

Daddy you were always there,

Glorious sadness that brings me to my knees,

but then comfort embraces me, when I fell agony and start to grieve,

Knowing that you are at peace,

puts my mind at ease,

I wanted you here till I was seventy-seven,

instead Angels open the gates to Heaven,

Daddy nomore prison, nomore pain,

You walk with Grandma in the Lord's domain.

But this is not a goodbye, but more like a c-ya later alligator,

an afterwhile crocodile

Ed will be missed around the neighborhood. I enjoyed the many conversations with him and hearing the Shelby startup everyday. Godspeed to a warrior and the family.
