One of the best role models I ever knew. Daddy-O (always Mr Roberson to me as a kid)was a great teacher, a wise man and one of the most caring people I ever knew. I miss his great sense of humor and love of life. Rest in Peace.

Jim and Family: Mike and I wanted to share our condolences on the loss of Daddy O. We recently experienced death of both parents and know how difficult it is to lose someone so special to you. Mr. Roberson Sr. was a special person who accomplished much and influenced many during his years. Take Care and know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Joanne and Mike Wallace

To all family members, I am sending my deepest sympathies as I share in our loss. It is never easy to think that there would be a time when letting go of our loved one would be the right thing to do. As when it is a small child, we ask why them why was their life cut so short? If it is a teenager we ask why they are just getting started in life? If it is a young lady or young man, we ask why they had so much going for them? And this group is a little larger going on into the middle ages.why they just got things settled for themselves? But then as they get on up in age we think they have had such a great long joyful life why Lord, why do you keep putting them thru this?
I am sure that right now everyone of you can find yourself reasoning with any number of these examples. The way that I would like to best remember Uncle Jimmy is he looked at the positive aspect of any of these life line situations. A small child he would love every minute that he got to spend in the joy of that small child. In a teenager it would be the time he could share in teaching them how to do something, in the young newly weds it was sharing the stories of this is what my parents told me How we should do such and such, the middle agers " well, let's sit down here over a cup of coffee and talk. We don't have anywhere to run to. And finally there were all those that are our elders. Uncle Jimmy loved looking out for those that were his senior. The man was knowledgeable, mecanical, he was creative, he was well read, and a poet, he drew his own designs, and brought them from thought to paper to working, functional realities. But one thing I will never forget about my Uncle is his love of boats, the water, and fishing. The man could fish! ( Hey Uncle Jimmy listen that sea of tranquility it is one hot fishing spot! You will see everybody in the heavenly neighborhood up there out on that sea. And the haul of fish are so great... Because Jesus says we are to be fishers of men.!!!)
So this is my tribute to Uncle Jimmy I love you and until we meet again Fare winds and following sea!!! ( Yes I know it was Air force not Navy but he would rather be out on the water.

The entire family will be in my prayers in the weeks and months to come.

It is never easy to lose a loved one. I pray you find comfort in God's promise found at John 6:40 which says that soon we will see all our loved ones again. My deepest condolences to the family.
