I will never forget the first time I met Bonnie when Karen introduced me to her and Richard. She was helping Richard recover from surgery in the Cape Coral hospital. I instantly knew where Karen got her beauty inside and out. Bonnie was stunning and her smile lit up the room. She was warm and open, making me feel welcome and a part of the family. And that continued every time I saw her after.

She was always ready with a kind word and her distinct laugh, working hard to make sure everyone was included, felt good and was having fun.

I remember Thanksgiving 2016 in Cape Coral. Bonnie and Richard, as usual, had a ton of good food. But I felt I needed to bring something, so we arrived with this ridiculously large ham. No-one knew what to do with it. There was no place to put this thing and needless to say I was a little embarrassed. But there was Bonnie. She took it right out my hands and started saying all kinds of positive comments: It was a great ham, it looked delicious, she couldn't wait to have some. On and on. That's just how she was. Bonnie never wanted anyone to feel bad. And no matter the situation, she would find some way to make it a positive and lift your spirits.

I am glad I had the chance to get to know Bonnie. I wish I would have had more time with her. She was so loved by so many people. But I'm the lucky one. I married Karen, someone just like her in heart, mind and soul. So while the world is a lesser place without Bonnie, mine is greater and I will always owe Bonnie a debt of gratitude for that.

Remembering Bonnie fondly from McHenry Shores and part of the families I often babysat. She was a bright light with a beautiful smile and warm personality. Love, hugs and prayers to Rich, Kristen, Karen, Richie and family. God bless.

What a beautiful tribute to Bonnie and her life. We had the opportunity to meet and spend some time with Bonnie and Richard twice this past year as Karen and Dave were preparing for their wedding. We really enjoyed our time together with them, and were so looking forward to more times together. We will miss her and want to express our deepest condolences to Karen, Richard, and to all of their family and friends for their loss. With deepest sympathy, Gary and Barbara Galbreath (Daves parents)
