James Baartz Obituary
James "Jimmi" Albert Baartz, 42, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, formerly of Woodstock, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Centegra Hospital Woodstock after a 10 year battle with Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis.
Jimmi was a Precision CNC Machinist and enjoyed taking a piece of metal and making something useful out of it. He had a love for nature and a passion for music. He was a skilled Drummer and enjoyed playing in a band. Jimmi had a beautiful Spirit and would give the shirt off his own back to a stranger in need.
Survivors included his parents, Jim and Karen (Blanner) Baartz, Woodstock; three brothers, Jason (Toni) Baartz, Jesse Baartz, Justin Baartz; one sister, Zandra (Baartz) Janis; grandfather, John Blanner; grandmother, Esther Baartz; three aunts, Kathy (Chuck) Clark, Kris (Laur) Clark, Diane (Dan) Ruona; two uncles, Nick (Toni) Baartz, Tracy (Virginia) Baartz; 1 nephew and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maxine Blanner, Woodstock; grandfather, Kenneth Baartz, Waukegan.
His family had a private gathering Saturday, June 20.
