I worked with Mark at Chicago Rawhide / SKF for over 30 years, and we continued our friendship after my retirement. I will always cherish the activities that we shared together, whether calling on our customers, pheasant hunting in South Dakota, walleye fishing the Detroit River, or just having a beer together chatting about our kids, grandkids, and old CR times. I have fond memories of working with him as an application engineer after I transferred to Elgin, later as the Truck Seal manager, and finally as the Sales Account Manager in the Detroit Sales office. He was always laughing and upbeat no matter what problems that we had to solve and always knew what our customers needed. Although Mark loved his wife and family, he was also devoted to his job at CR/SKF, and put in long hours in the office and with our customers. No matter how late it was when I called the Detroit office, Mark was the one to answer the phone with the friendly greeting " Hi Jocko". the moniker that Frank Koenig tagged me with. There are a few people that we all meet in our life's journey that standout among the others by extending their friendship, help, and enthusiasm to make you a better person. Mark was one of them that will not be forgotten!
