I was one of those children at BHS in the 70s that SHE never let go hungry. I have always remembered Mrs. W. as I pay it forward with other children. It meant so much to me, I always thought that I was very special when she would come to me in the lunch room to make sure I was fed. She was a good neighbor and a great person who raised a great family. RIP Mrs. W. we are all fed now and will carry on with your example. Thank you for your love and care.

Karen and family,

I have fond memories of your mother going back to Hickory Hill days. She was a truly nice lady. It made me smile to read about her Scrabble playing abilities. May memories of your mother always be a blessing to you and your family. Barbara Cragan

KAREN AND FAMILY,
I am so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was one of the truly nice ladies I've ever met. The biography I read reflects the generosity of her spirit, and I love that great picture of her.
It's been a few decades since you were in my classroom, but I've always had fond memories of you as someone who obviously was raised by someone special; that was Mary. I hope your life since BHS has been a good one--with the benefits of a loving family and friends and the spirit of being a life-long learner. Your mother never "settled," and I'm assuming you have that same spirit still.
Remember all those good times with Mom. I will not forget her--or you either.
