Rick, Jean, Matt and Katie were by far one of the BEST neighbors and friends we could have ever been blessed with. Living two doors down in the small cup-de-sac known as Shady Pines in Palatine Illinois, we loved hanging with them and walking to and from their house and vice versa at all times of the day and night. There are SO many memories.....NYE's, Sean running out of our house because of the ghost of Charles....the ghost busters visit to our house...Katie riding her tricycle up to us on the day we purchased the house and said "hi, I live right there someone died in your house" LOL, Kitster attacking Jean's ankle (WTHell), and MORE! Rick was honest, no b.s.; he was very smart and always ready to help others. He always did his best! If there is one moment that sticks like glue to both Steve and I is when Rick said "when I sit in my living room on the sofa reading the paper and look out the window and see the wine cooler light (blue and bright) shining through your window, I know all is well in the world!". It was little things like that that made him special. I still have his Mom's mink coat; remember his parents well and they are still to this day in my daily prayers as Rick is now. The world lost a good soul xxxooo Love and blessings, Steve, Denise, Sean and Stephanie
