Dr. Abramson was such an inspiration through his many kind acts, caring nature and his dedicated hours of community service in Gary and Valparaiso. His involvement in bettering lives and the greater good for the community should be a standard we should all strive for.

Dad, you are someone that since the day I met you, I always respected you. You took wonderful care of my Mom and I. I learned so many things from you that make me the person I am today. Your giving, non judgemental attitude is something I always will look up to. I have so many great memories with you. You treated me always like I was a paternal son and for that I will always be grateful. I always enjoyed listening to your stories about your life and was honored to be a part of you. You are truly what a "Man" is. My children and wife(Darlene) will always love you as you touched them in so many ways. Your humility you showed me throughout my life is what I respect so much about you. I was able to see for myself how you treated your patients always not worrying about money but, rather making sure they were ok. I will always remember "it will get better, it's just going to have to run its course" followed by "no charge". I could go on and on. Thank you for being a "real Dad" even though we don't share the same name. Thank you for being a great husband to my Mom. I will miss you Dad!

Love Always,

Rob

Ihave know Dr Abramson since Iwas born in 1960. He took care of my whole family. He was there for my grandfathers surgery befor I was born, and when my brother died at the age of three. He an office across the street from where my father worked as a mechanic. My father would just walk across the street when injured himself at work, and Dr Abramson was there to fix him up. When I started work at Methodist, and after he retired, I would run into Dr Abramson and he never forgot to ask about my family. I know he will be missed. There will nwvwr be another person like him. I loved "Dr. A" dearly, for I found him to always be kind, caring, and unassuming, no matter what. Condolences to all who knew and loved this man, and to those who benefitted from his care.

We are saddened by the loss of Allan. A real giver, Allan was a warm, affectionate, humble person with a great sense of humor who touched more lives than he ever knew. When he entered a room, his presence and voice would always bring a smile to your face and heart. As a physician, he was caring, considerate and reassuring. He will always hold a special place in our hearts and we will never forget him.

To the Abramson Family,
My name is Neena (Lieberman)Shulman, my aunt and uncle were JoAnn and Paul Lieberman. I new your dad for along time because of my Uncle Paul. One weekend we were at their home I think for some kind of party and I was pregnant and had about four weeks left to go before delivery. Al walked in the house, gave me a kiss and said your going to have twins. My doctor or the doctors I worked for in Chicago told me I was having twins, I was supposed to have a 7lb baby boy. Well, lo and behold on Oct. 1st I had twin girls. I couldn't wait to call my Uncle to tell him about the girls and to make sure Al heard about it. I'll always remember that.
