CHERYL MARGUERITE TUBEZ CEDAR LAKE, IN
Cheryl Marguerite Tubez, age 67, passed away at home in the company of her loving family on June 16, 2015 after a courageous six and a half year battle with cancer. Survivors include her sister, Jan Nakutis of Cedar Lake, Indiana; her sons: Matthew Stasko of Munster, Indiana and Adam (Nancy) Stasko of Baltimore, Maryland; her daughter, Marguerite Stasko of Crown Point, Indiana; her grandchildren: Ashton Stasko, Makenna Stasko, and Chloe Dorka; many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Katherine (nee Duncan) Tubez. At Cheryl's request, there will not be a funeral or memorial service. Cheryl was born December 12, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, she lived in Cedar Lake, Indiana and was retired from St. Anthony Medical Center where she was an Operating Room Surgical Tech for 32 years. Cheryl was the cornerstone of her family and touched the lives of many with her generosity, selflessness, and compassion and kept her fight and determination all the way to the end. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society(www.cancer.org[cancer.org]) in memory of Cheryl M. Tubez. Burdan Funeral Home & Cremation Services entrusted with arrangements.

Cheryl was a second mom to many of us, and we all loved her dearly. She will be missed. My heart goes out to you Maggie, Adam & Matt. I have many fond memories of your mom that I will always cherish. Hugs to you all.

My heart goes out to all of you. Cheryl was a great mom to her 3 beautiful children and I'm sure they will miss her dearly. She will forever be looking over you and your families and protecting all of you from above. Cherish the memories and keep her in your heart at all times. If there is anything you need, please don't hesitate to ask. God bless all of you!
