My sincere sympathies on the loss of your Mother. Our parents were friends. Our remember both your Dad and Mother as friendly, engaging people. Your Dad was very handsome and your Mother was very beautiful. They always seem to enjoy life. She will remain in your hearts forever.

When I was growing up, I went with Aunt Dorothy, Uncle Gus, and the boys to a wedding. We were all dressed up, driving along the highway when Dorothy shouted for Gus to stop the car quickly. He pulled over and she jumped out, dressed in her narrow skirt, sleeveless blouse, and pillbox hat, looking very stately, and walked, standing very straight, into the middle of the stopped traffic. A toddler dressed in only a diaper was standing in the middle of the traffic. She picked the child up, and clutching the child to her, walked back to the car. It was the bravest act I have ever seen and I will never forget it. She was God's good and faithful servant.
