Seventeen years of unconditional love, priceless memories, and unfiltered honesty. I had the honor of being Ferd's friend and it is something I have always treasured. I am a better person for having known Ferd and I'm so grateful for the role he played in my daughter's life. There aren't words to express how lucky I feel to have know Ferd and now the depth of grief I feel over his loss. I love you darlin' and I miss you so much.

From all of the gang who worked with Ferd in the Office of Broadcast Services, he was a good friend and a great colleague! We will miss his wit and wisdom at the Department of State.

I lost touch with Ferdinand after high school but will never forget the smiling kid who I spent so many endless summer days playing with around Chase Drive and Harrington Avenue. God Bless

I'm at a loss about what to say. (Ferd is laughing at THAT right now, as I am NEVER at a loss for words...)

To his parents and brothers, my God's comfort be with you, knowing he is no longer in pain, no longer suffering.

To all of his countless friends (of which I am humbly blessed to be one): We were all blessed to know Ferd - may we never forget the way his infectious smile and laughter touched us every time we were with him.

Ferd, my friend, be at peace. Get the party ready for the rest of us, for when we meet again...

I don't think I am or ever was worthy of his friendship, but I am glad that I was friends with him many years ago, and I am glad that I was able to reconnect with him in recent years. I love you Ferd.
