No one has to tell me how lucky I have been to have such a wonderful man as my father.
My earliest memories of my Dad are the times he would come home from work and lay on the floor in front of the T.V as we would climb all over him and watch our favorite shows Star Trek, Six Million Dollar Man, and don't forget his favorite- Wonder Women.
As time went on, I remember him always making time for all my softball, volleyball, and basketball games.

As I entered High School, I made sure to keep him busy. Chasing boys away from my bedroom window in his Tighty White's, tutoring me with my Chemistry, Biology and Geometry and of course helping me decide what to wear to school each day. The best was when I would come down stairs in the morning before school and ask my Dad if my outfit looked ok for school, he would look up from his cereal, and I would be off changing to a new outfit. He often brought that up, stating that he never even got a chance to give his opinion and off I went changing my clothes.

I will never forget the day I met Brian my parents were so excited that I had found someone to make me happy. Dad always told Brian that there were no returns. Dad you have been a wonderful Father, Father-in-Law and Grandfather always taking time to make memories with Roman, Rachael, Brian and I. Let's not forget the trips to Ludington each year when you let us drive you crazy by walking through the screen door, hooking you with fish hooks on the boat, and teasing you about your dangly worms that fed the whole fish population but never caught a fish.

When I think back over the years I feel so fortunate to have spent so much quality time with my Dad. I always looked forward to my Dads golfing trip in April when he would stay in town a few extra days at my house, and selfishly, I got him all to myself. Let's not forget all the Octobers he and mom flew out to Vegas to celebrate my birthday and participate in the yearly Slava with all our friends in Vegas. One year, in particular, on October 28th we went to the local pub at 10:00am to watch the Bears and game and came out at 7pm. Bears, Beer, and my Dad one of my best memories.

Dad I hated to see you go but it was your time and I know you are with all our loved ones that have passed on. We will meet again and until that time I know you will be with me always……

We are all better persons for having known Jim. He is a star who made sure others would shine. I'll always remember his kind and thoughtful guidance he gave me at Purdue.

Mary Ann and Family,
I will always remember that great smile. When I think of him "What a great guy" comes to mind. He was just a great person all around. In the end, all we have are our memories and the greatest feeling knowing that we were loved...deeply. He will always be in your hearts and minds. Blessings to you Mary Ann, Leona, and all of your family. My most sincere condolences.

Mary Ann,

I am so sad to hear of Jim's passing. He was a classmate, roommate, fraternity brother, best man and all around great friend. He was always such a calming influence on myself and the others he was around. We had many memorable times together.

I hope that you, Jim's mom and your extended family will find some peace in knowing that you are all in our prayers and thoughts.
