Memories and Condolences

Not sure what to say?

Cathie, Randy was my cousin. My mother was Margaret Menard. I remember him from visiting Gary (Hobart) Indiana every summer. I even visited you and Randy one time and saw your house in Valpo. He was such a nice man. I'm sure you had many wonderful years together. May your memories be many and comforting. Sorry about his passing. My prayers are with you and your children. God bless. Cathie, Scott, Brett, and Jacobs Family: I wish to express my greatest condolences regarding Randy. Randy possessed a great passion to the area, the City of Gary, and Indiana University Northwest. He will be greatly missed. I know that all involved in the revitalization of the Glen Park area will make sure to keep the vision he helped oversee alive. Randy will surely be missed but never forgotten. He will remain in all of our hearts and minds.

Cathie, Scott, Brett, & Jackie,
I realize that no one can take any of the sadness out of your hearts. Randy was obviously a good brother, husband, father, uncle & grandfather, but obviously just a very good man. I am sorry for the huge loss that everyone is going through at this time. Please know, I am keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers at this time of extreme difficulty. I hope that all of you can find some sort of peace in knowing that God always seems to take the good ones . . . way too soon.
Please take care of each other.
Love & prayers to all of you,
Janet

Dear Cathie and Jackie,
My parents and I wish to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your husband and brother. I can't remember the last time I saw Randy, but I do remember how intelligent he was, but more importantly, his great personality, that made everyone he met feel comfortable, liked, and respected (even when I was a kid). I sincerely hope Randy has found, and that you will both find, peace and comfort.

Dear Cathie and Family:
It was with saddened heart that I heard of Randy's passing. I am another of the NIPSCO family who had the opportunity and joy to work with and for Randy. He was a great boss who always kept an upbeat and positive perspective regardless of the situation. His door was always open and I always felt welcome. We are so sorry that he has left us. Please accept our condolences. God Bless.

Cathie: You told us you and Randy had 39 wonderful years and you were still crazy about each other, that you have two wonderful sons and daughters-in-law and three absolutely adorable grandchildren. All through the last year, you always looked at your blessings instead of your heartache. You and Randy are an inspiration to our family. You have taught us so much. We are blessed to know you and thankful to have you as a neighbor. Our prayers and love are with you Cathie.

I have many fond memories of Randy from Junior High School, where we became best friends. He took me to my very first dance and I remember that we were both so very scared. Everything about Randy was deserving of respect.
I will remember you all in my prayers. God is our refuge and strength a very present help in times of need.

Cathy, Scott, and Brett,
My most heartfelt sympathy to you all. Long before we were neighbors in Walden, I worked with Randy in various community organizations. He was always a leader, and his energy and gently enthusiastic forcefulness were an asset everywhere (not to mention a wonderful speaking voice). It was a privilege to know him, and to have been your neighbor for nine years. God bless you all.

To Randall Family: Some remember people from the achievements that they accomplished in their lives regarding employment and awards. While much can be wirtten in this area of Randy's life, I choose to remember him from the days when we worked at St Margaret's Hospital. His Love for family and their achievements were the most important thing to him and I feel that he can rest in Gods arms knowing his given task of "Family Man" was accomplished well.
