THADDEUS G. LEWAKOWSKI "TED" "HOT ROD" WHITING, IN/BERWYN, IL Thaddeus G. (“Ted” “Hot Rod”) Lewakowski, 59, of Whiting, IN passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence. He is survived by three children: Melody Rose Stelton, Chadd Lewakowski, and Brandon Lewakowski; seven grandchildren; and a niece. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank. Ted was a lifelong Chicagoland resident. He was a graduate of Morton West High School in Berwyn, IL, a member of the Painter’s Union, and an employee of K2 Industrial Services, Highland, IN. Ted loved cars and trains. He built many model cars and was a race car driver and drag racer at many of the Chicagoland Motor Speedways. There was no visitation. Ted will forever be in the hearts of those he knew. He had a smile that lit up a room; and a sense of humor that would brighten anyone's day in an instant. God is lucky to have such an amazing man to be one of his heavenly angels. He may be gone but NEVER forgotten! Rest in peace dear friend...xoxo

I've known Teddy since he was about 5 years old. He was my brother's lifelong friend and we shared a lot a memories together. My sincere condolences to the members of his family and his friends. He will be remembered with a smile. Rest in peace, Teddy.
