ALBERT FEY Obituary

FEY--Albert E., 81. The lawyers and staff of the law firm of Fish & Neave, now part of Ropes & Gray, mourn the passing of Albert E. Fey. He was an extraordinary friend and mentor to generations of lawyers at the firm. After receiving his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan in 1955 and his law degree from George Washington University in 1958, he served as an associate and partner in the firm until he retired in 2002. Al was one of the nation's most respected intellectual property trial lawyers, having served as lead trial counsel in many cases for such prominent companies as AT&T, Bell Labs, Lucent, Ford, General Electric, Becton Dickinson, Varian, Georgia-Pacific, and Arrow International, among others. Consistent with his high standing at the bar, he was a great colleague and teacher to all of us who sought to follow in his footsteps. We are inspired by his example and will remember him fondly.

Nancy:
Doubtful you'll remember me, but, I heard of your fathers passing and wanted to send my condolances. I lost my father as well and know the saddness. A wise friend said to me; "Mourn the loss, but, celebrate the life." Take care!
