A lifelong Democrat, I always admired Senator Rudman. In today's political climate, where are the people who can follow his example as a person, public servant, and admired statesman? My son worked with the Omaha Concord Coalition while in law school in the 90's. Senator Rudman's family, and our nation, have lost a true American.

Mr. Rudman will be missed. He fought for a better world. By means of our Creator through his Son, Jesus his vision of a better world will be truly realized. Daniel 2:44
November 21, 2012
Senator Rudman was one of the rare breed of fiscal conservatives who carried the Senate through the tumultuous economic challenges of the 80s and early 90s, and through the turbulent political change of a global dual power structure shared by the United States and the Soviet Union, to the many greater and lesser voices of social change after the break-up of the USSR. He remained a steady voice of conservative reason after he left the Senate, and continued on as an elder statesmen, attorney, and commentator, much respected in New England, Washington D.C. and international political circles. His wisdom and influence on Capitol Hill and in Concord will be greatly missed. He had a wonderful smile.

The Senator was and still is the standard that all politicans and attorneys should follow. He was a gentleman and was a person to trust, admire and his friendship was one to cherish. The Senator will be missed, but the citizens of NH and the United States were blessed for his being. God speed.

Warren Rudman will be missed by all including me a down the street neighbor who he helped out and paths crossed on rare ocussions. I knew his kids but went separate ways as we grew older. His concerns for the our country on a balanced budget agreement will also be missed and we will now all have to pay a heavy price as a consequence. He put fiscal responsiblity above politics as is rarely done. May he rest in peace knowing he did what earnestly could. He will never know all the lives he touched and helped.

Many years ago, I went to Washington to represent and lobby for TRIO progarm's Educational Talent Search. It was a program to help student's, from low income families, successfully pursue a college education. Senator Rudman was the only one who met with us personally. The next day he sat in a committee meeting and used the statistics we had provided to support the funding of our program. Although, a life long Democrat, I never forgot this meeting and always admired him. He will be sorely missed.

My mother, Linda Lockwood worked as his assistant for years in D.C. She adored him for his brutal honesty, genuineness, and deep love and respect for our Country. I appreciated how he respected my mom. She said more than once that working for the Senator were the most wonderful years of her career. My deepest condolences go out to his family and everyone that knew him. He was one of a kind. You do not see politicians these days that truly deserve the respect that he did. God Bless you Senator, and Thank You.

This is the passing of a good and decent man who loved his state and his nation. He contributed much. Having been on the receiving end of his ire, I know he was a man of strong views. He did not flinch or waiver and he reflects the best of what politics should be about. New Hampshire and the nation has lost a great statesman, a term that cannot be applied to many.
