I was a student of Jerry's in the medical illustration program in the 80's. Jerry Hodge was an extraordinary artist and teacher. His exuberance and his drive to create and innovate left a lasting impression on all of his students. He inspired us by his ability to see beauty and design in anything that was living. He was in every sense, a true scholar and artist. I extend my condolences to his family. I am sure that he will be missed by many people, including those who had the privilege to know him as a teacher.
