I was a TA for Professor Edel from 1999-2000 in her Urban Studies class at Queens College. She carried with her an infectious attitude and such a tremendous passion for her craft. I will remember her quite fondly as she had such a positive effect on me as a student, and as a person. She was a wonderful teacher and a truly remarkable lady. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts are with her family.
Kim was a wonderful person who gave an enormous amount. I still miss Matt, and can still see Kim at the memorial for his outrageously early death I missed the announcement of the 2008 tribute and am not sure why I was drawn today to learn how she was, and see this. I am sure the spirit from your parents continues to enrich your lives
I only knew Kim towards the end of her life, but I am so glad we had an opportunity to connect. And it is clear that the good people in Kim's life recognized a kind whipper snapper when they saw one.
What a moving tribute to a warm woman who's life was deeply lived and rich with love. The family has my deepest sympathies.
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Candace, but very grateful to her for her service to our country in the Peace Corps.

Dear Stephan, Gareth and Keir,
I am moved to see your description of Kim because it actually comes close to capturing who she was - and I am grateful to be included in the short list of those who mourn. Joel and I miss her greatly and look forward to the memorial where we, and her many many friends, can be reminded of the rich warm person she was and the wonderful life she led, Ellen
Kim's passionate spirit lives on in all of you. With love,
I am so grateful for the time I was able to spend with Kim. I was so lucky to have this amazing, kind, compassionate, caring woman as my mother-in-law. I'm grateful to her for raising my wonderful husband. Her strength and dignity will always be an inspiring north star in my life.
My condolences to all those who knew Mrs. Edel. May you draw close to the hearer of prayer during this difficult time. Psalm 65:2
We will all miss her.
