It seems impossible to find the words to express the love I shared with my father, to describe what it was like to feel so loved, a love that was unfaltering, unconditional, unending.

Daddy, thank you for all the love that you showed me. I saw it in your eyes, how they lit up with joy when I'd enter the room and how they filled with tears when I returned to my home so far away from you. You have given me so much, have helped shape the woman I am, my appreciation of music, film, dance, storytelling, writing, family values, literature and so much more, all stem from your teachings.

I will always cherish the memories I have of listening to you speak, listening to you sing, watching you dance tango with Mommy, of the science fiction novels that you read to me and the science fiction movies that we watched together, of having you come running to my room in the middle of the night to save me from the terror of my bad dreams… always my protector.

I am so proud of the father that you were to me and will always be in my heart: intellectual, handsome, eloquent, affectionate and warm. I know, Daddy, that the love you had for me, just like the love I have for you, does not end here, it is part of me and will stay with me always. I love you, Daddy.

I was a neighborhood kid friends with his son Edgar. He was a kind man. Took Ed my brother and I to Hartford to see Queen. We were worried they would not come to NY. Funny how a small act of kindness stays with you your whole life. Ed I miss your friendship. You see a bud every day then one day you realize 20 years have gone by. I am sorry for your loss. We should get together talk about the old days.
