Dearest Mr. and Mrs. Gerstner, my Husband Dan and I happened upon Louis's obit on line. I was devistated to hear the news of your loss. It has been a very long time since our last contact. The memories I have living with your family have been some of my favorite. I loved the children so much when they were in my care. It may have only been one year but it has always been one of my favorite. I now have three grown children of my own and I can't imagine what you must be going through. Please know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. You are in my thoughts and Prayers. Sincerely Judy (Richnak)Eckart

Mr & Mrs. Gerstner,
I'm truly so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. While you might not know me, we share much. I'm a 32 year IBM veteran, but I'm also a mother who's recently lost her son. My 22 year old son, Christopher, died in a car accident in February, 2013. Its not easy, and it's not something you get used to. It's just something you deal with as you learn how to live with your newly transformed life without your son. Regardless of how old we are when we lose a child, or how old/young that child is...the lost is still inexplicably unfathomable. I pray you and your family find solice in your support network and that God helps and guide you through this very difficult time. God bless Lewis and all of you.

I was very sorry to learn of the untimely death of Louis. I met him a few years ago and while I haven't seen him in recent years he impressed me as a truly nice guy and a great father. My condolences to his family.
