Eileen and I were friends in the early 70s when we were both taking pre-med courses at CCNY. I never forgot her. Many years later I learned that Eileen had fulfilled her dream of becoming a doctor. I know that Eileen was a marvelous doctor and healer who was loved by her patients and community. I am so pleased that her deferred dream finally came true. My condolences to Eileen's family.

Who in the song so sweet,
Eileen aroon!
Who in the dance so sweet,
Eileen aroon!
Dear were her charms to me,
Dearer her laughter free,
Dearest her constancy,
Eileen aroon!

For Dr, Eileen Gleber,
Today was a truly fitting memorial for Eileen. We laughed, cried and held her image tight. She was an angel of mercy with me. She found the lump in my breast, held my hand all through cheno/radiation. We laughed about baldness, sickness. With her by my side I knew I could make it. Eileen was my entire family's physician. From the eldest 73 to the youngest , my granddaughter Ella who is 3. Eileen would not let Ella come to the Clinic for checkups, too many germs for a little one. She was a special, gifted woman whom the likes I don't think we will see again. I feel lost without her. God Bless you Eileen and your wonderful family for bringing us together today. Forever in our Hearts. Aloha Pumehana, Kara, Tyler, Ella Love of Point Reyes Station and Rosalind and Bob Clark

Eileen you are so present in my heart dear lady. You and I have shared many similar pathways on this journey. I feel so blessed that you were my doctor and a beloved friend. We laughed and cried together and I told you that you were a living angel. YOU ARE. Always - your friend Michele
