I knew Marty as an art collector and later as an inspirational friend. A telephone call or a note from Marty could brighten my day beyond belief. It was simply the way in which he communicated. I will never forget the bold giant notes he would send that read, "Fantastic", "Wow!!!" or "Wonderful". This is a man who could make you feel great simply by the way he said, "Hello!". What a special man he was! Please note that he donated much of his contemporary art collection to The Chicago Art Institute, in a group of works entitled "Life Lessons".

I thought that after six months, it would be easier to write something about Marty. It's not.

Marty was a great guy. The kind of guy you could go to for advice, if you didn't have a father to go to. The kind of guy that would always give you his time and never steer you wrong. Marty was that kind of guy.

My deepest sympathy and respect to Mrs. Edelston and the kids.

My deepest sympathy to Martin's family. I met Martin at his first I-Power Seminar in Washington, D.C. I still remember what he shared with us and how instructive and useful it was. May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to the Edelston and Boardroom families. I am grateful that I shared many a happy table and spirited onversation with Marty Edelston, our generous host. His determination to connect people and to spread knowledge were among his many talents and gifts to all. Thank you, Marty.
