I had the privilege of knowing Mr Adler through his musical Off Key. I played the part of Ronald. I also sang a song he wrote for his niece's wedding in the Hamptons. It was such a wonderful time in my life. I will never forget him. He was such a great inspiration!

I can so-vividly remember seeing a TV production of "Damn Yankees" with Phil Silvers as the devil. Wonderful. But more wonderful still was the ballpark organ playing "You Gotta Have Heart" when the NY Mets (a joke for so many years) won the 1969 World Series. Life immitating art at its very best.
Thank you, Richard, for so many great memories.

Thanks for the kind hearted music you brought into the world. (Across from my high school in Oakland, California the dry cleaners had a sign, "Lola wants her rugs cleaned here.") Richard Adler brought light and kindness into many corners of the world. Thanks so much.

Theatre-goers have a specila love for The Pajama Game and Damn Yankees. You've Gotta Have Heart got me through a few bad times and "I'll Never Be Jealous Again" says all that needs to be said on that topic. But the bottom line is: no one will ever write a song as shrewdly demoinc as "Those Were The Good Ole Days."
