Dear Siobhan… I am so sorry I never got to reconnect and say "thank you" for how amazing and warm you were to me during that summer of '83 after graduation from RPCS. You, Ann, Heath, Beth and Carol have always been in my head since those days…
This is simply beyond devastating…

Condolences to your family and friends.

Dear Sharkey Family, When I see the picture of Siobhan all the memories of her as a child come back. She was a sweet and lovely child to care for. I was only 8 years older than Siobhan when I began babysitting for her family. She enjoyed helping me take care of her younger brother Edward. The day that Catherine was born I was there to take care of Siobhan and Edward. They were so excited about their new baby sister. I will remember her sweet smile. As I read these entries of love I see what an amazing person she came to be.

Phoebe,Bob and all the family,
So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you find solace that Siobhan is with the Lord.

What a heartbreak to lose such a ray of sunshine so prematurely. My prayers are with her - and with you - her beloved family and dearest friends.

I don't believe I've ever met a person with the combination of intelligence, humor, compassion, and humility that Siobhan possessed. I noticed early as a classmate of hers at Penn, that the center of our social activities often gravitated around Siobhan although she was not one to seek the attention. Her infectious smile will always hold a place in my memories. I am reminded of The words of Robert Louis Stevenson:

"We are all travelers in the wilderness of this world, and the best we can find in our travels is an honest friend".

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I have known Shiobhan through her remarkable work for the past several decades. We worked together to "help change the world" in the National Chronic Care Consortium back in the early 90's. Shiobhan was one of those people for whom those were not just words, she worked to make that happen. I am so very sad, and send thoughts and prayers to her entire family and wide circle of friends. The world is a little darker without her remarkable light.

I remember Siobhan as a visionary. She was not just a dreamer, but someone who made things happen. She had the courage to engage with really big issues (like health care delivery) and experiment and engage with new approaches. She didn't just "discuss and wonder", but actually worked towards making changes. She will be missed by those who knew her and those who didn't know her, but were positively influenced by her hard work. My heart goes out to your whole family.

Siobhan always struck me as a person with vision, but she wasn't just a dreamer she made things happen. She was able to engage with big issues (like long established health care practices)and dive in to create change. When other people "discussed and wondered" Siobhan was experimenting and making things happen. I was always in awe of her humble ability to make a difference in the world. She will be missed by those who knew her and by those who didn't know her but were positively influenced by her hard work. My heart is with your whole family.

Siobhan was such a joy to be around during our two years together at Wharton. There was such a positive energy when in her presence. Though the two years seem brief in retrospect, the memories of her burn very bright. I am so glad I got one last chance to be with her again when she returned for our 20th reunion in order to gain a couple more memories of her smile and laughter.
