I am very sad to hear of Blair's death.
He was such a wonderful and talented Teacher Leader in Reading Recovery in New Zealand and in many other countries world-wide.
He had a great wit and empathy and a huge knowledge and understanding of the literacy process and of how children (& people) learn.
My sincere condolences to his family. You must feel so privileged to have been part of his family as I do having been part of his large family of Reading RecoveryTutors (NZ).
My thoughts are with you.
Arohanui,
Helen Cannon

So sad at the loss of such a great mind. Blair was an amazing creative thinker. I am forever indebted to him for surviving my post-grad year in Reading Recovery in 2008. Sincere condolences to his loved ones. He will be so missed.
