We are saddened to hear about the passing of a great servant of the Lord, Bob Glen, who will long be remembered by generations of Bible college students, some of us having the privilege to become co-labourers with him in Christian ministry. Our hearts go to Marian and the family. Sadly because we are overseas and constantly travelling, we were unable to join in the celebration of Bob's fruitful life.

I am very sorry that I will miss Bob's funeral, as I am on the way to Australia at that time. Bob, the evangelical historian, battling at all times for the reformation tradition in the Anglican Church, the colourful lecturer, sadly wrote little but his essay on "those Odious Evangelicals" and editing of Mission and Moko were greatly appreciated. At all times, even when we disagreed, we were all fired by his passion in approaching history. I pray that his family will mourn with sadness but with pride this remarkable man.

So sorry to hear of Bob's death, but we know he's in a far better place now. With his tweed jacket, dry wit and clear insight, he was a much-loved man who became a major influence on my life in the mid-eighties.
Our sympathies to the family.
