A great guy who gave so much to the community. He taught generations road safety skills that I still hear about today. Doug was really down to earth and put other people first before himself. Go in peace Doug.

Doug Annabel, a much respected RTI in South Auckland, kind and caring person who will be missed by many who learnt to cross roads carefully, to learn to listen and have a laugh with you .. I met you at Papatoetoe East Primary in 1962 then again through my mother at Papatoetoe MOT office in Hoteo Ave, rest in peace , Grant and Debbie RANKIN, Shirley Rankin

Doug Annabell is a name many in Manurewa will remember. Not just for being the traffic cop who taught road safety to so many children at primary school (me included) but also because he was a genuinely nice man who was always welcoming, supportive and interested in people. My thoughts are with Lorraine, Kevin, Murray, Sharon, their families and extended whanau.
