Senior Sergeant Clague-Christian, Fletcher, was a lovely 'boss' while I served at Takapuna in the 80s. He then continued on to his non sworn NeighbourHood Support position in the 00s which is when I came back in touch with him after my returning to the Police fold, post-children. What a lovely, kind and gentlemanly person. I last met Fletcher at my Citizenship investiture about five years ago and he sadly didn't recognise me but was still the friendly nice man that I had always known. My condolences to Irene who I met when she too was getting her long-overdue citizenship! I am very saddened to hear of his passing. Sincere, heartfelt thoughts to you Irene and your family. May Fletcher rest in the peace he so richly deserves xx

Fletcher and I were at school together, last year Form V, St Peter's College,1955. Later we saw each other around town when he was a young constable and I was a cadet at the (then) Supreme Court. And in more recent times when I was a piper in the Auckland Police Highland Pipe Band. I am very sorry to hear of his death and offer my sincere condolences to Irene and family.
Terence Carroll.

I offer my deepest sorrow in the passing of Fletcher. I pray that the life of Fletcher and his service to the people of Auckland as a former Police Officer may bring some measure of consolation.
I remember Fletcher at the Police training School in the Trentham Camp . He will not be forgotten.

CLAGUE-CHRISTIAN Fletcher - Police Sergeant in Otahuhu in late 1960's. A fantastic leader and educator of us young Coppers. A true gentleman. Kindest thoughts and great memories of shifts together. Brian Walker - 5126.
