I live on Abbots Place and have chatted to George over the years when we met on the street. We were both enthusiastic Saab owners. He was a lovely man and I wound like to send my sincere condolences to his family.

I meet George around 10 years ago through a good friend of mine (Vince), and as we were both Kiwi Croatian a good friendship developed. Whether it was having a pint in the city, watching Croatia beat England in the football or a road trip with Spurs, he was always a great guy to be around and lifted the mood.

He will be sadly missed and my deepest condolences go to his family.
Pocivaj u miru.

I first met George in the late 1989 when I joined the Deadbats CC. He became a team mate, skipper, financial advisor, mortgage broker but most importantly a great friend. He was just a great operator - full of energy, organised and the person who was the 'glue' that created and maintained many friendships. So shocked and saddened to hear of the loss, but will treasure the memories, particularly the early Deadbat years which were some of the best times of my life. Condolences to family and Loved ones.

Love from Tim & Linda Close and Family
