Sad to hear about Ivan's passing.
I am Allen Hilton, younger brother of Barry(deceased 2008). Barry and Ivan were great mates in the 1950s. Ivan used to stay at our place overnight, or in the weekends, after they had had a hard night out. They were a couple of real hard case lads and they had more than an interesting life together. My Mum and Dad used to put up with their various shenanigans.
I last met Ivan at a Tuakau Primary School reunion many years ago, and we had a few chuckles about the old days in Tuakau.
Condolences to all the family. There will never be anyone like Ivan again.
Regards, Allen Hilton.
