Jack was a fly fishing mentor, trainer and dear fishing companion for Barrack Carle, our son from his pre-teen years. Over the past 20+ years, Barrack and Jack fly fished many lakes and rivers together, tied flies, shared their fishing stories and talked their own fly fishing language - the 50 year age difference was irrelevant - they shared the common passion. Through this relationship, we became good friends with Jack and Isabel, despite our living a large part overseas. We are extremely grateful that Jack took Barrack under his wing and had him hooked on the fly fishing hobby, different fly casting and fly tying techniques and trying different fly fishing contexts. We have lost a dear friend and Barrack will be devastated that he will be unable to attend the funeral as he is travelling overseas. Thank you Jack for sharing your fly fishing knowledge and your humanity. Your fly fishing legacy will be passed on from Barrack to his own son Caius. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
