Mrs Gover was my art teacher at Tararua College. She was wonderful- she gave me space and left me to it, exactly what I needed at the time. I remember her taking the class to Palmerston North to meet an older gentleman who was a painter, he gave me some advice that I took up and still remember- never stop making art. I remember driving back to Woodville on the way home in Mrs Gover's Citroen, she floored it to pass a car and took the rev counter all the way to the red-line! It was such a surprise!

I am saddened to hear of Margaret's passing. She was a lovely person and I was tremendously privileged to have known and worked with her. My thoughts are with Adrian and family.
