Mary this a belated thank you and for many reasons, we were sorry that we were unable to attend. Firstly; thank you for the fantastic start in life that you gave our two boy, Hayden and Adrian it was much appreciated. secondly; being a good friend to my mum Maisie at Northbridge, particularly those ride to church. You are well remembered in the Cate family and will continue be part of out family folklaw.... particularly going to the first North Harbour shield challenge at Eden Park with all my rough real estate mate on the bus.
Hope you get Sky channel up there. Love Jeff and Lorraine Cate

Thank you, Mary, for coming to help me when I had a new baby. It was my son, Tony, who remembered this. RIP Mary

MCALLISTER, Mary Bernadette (nee Eising). Eldest daughter of late William and Eileen Eising, formerly of Makomako, Pahiatua, just two days after the passing of her younger sister Eileen Patricia at home in Plimmerton, Wellington. Beloved elder sister and sister-in-law of Margaret and Terry Dunleavy, and aunt of their 11 children. After teaching refugee Polish children at their camp in Pahiatua 1945-49, Mary came to Auckland where she taught at Pasadena Intermediate, eventually crossing the harbour to be a foundation staff member at Belmont Intermediate, later becoming principal of St John's Convent, Mairangi Bay for many years. In her time, Mary served as a councillor on the East Coast Bays Borough Council, and was a long time member of Pupuke Golf Club. Mary lived her final years among the community at Northbridge, until her admission early last week to Hospice North Shore where she received a standard of palliative and loving care that ranks with the best anywhere in the world. Requiescat in pace. Neich spoczywa w spokoju. Haere atu ra, haere, haere, haere.
