Dear Peter, I knew you only briefly on this earth, but you made a great impression with your knowledge and enthusiasm for our shared Stewart heritage. I thank you for your generosity of spirit and sense of fun.
Thank you and may you rest in peace.

Peter was always very special to me and Meg. A charming wee man from Gourock with a heart in Glen Tilt. Too bad he and I were born only twelve miles apart from each other in England with but a few years difference.

His enthusiasm and generosity was only equaled by the Gourock barber who allowed me as a young soldier drummer after the long haul from London overnight to plug in my electric razor in his shop for a shave, free ! while we waited for the Cowal Games Ferry. The same intense look in the eye and grin for being so cheeky. Lovely people. You knew when Peter was excited - he fairly bubbled. Every part of his body would be ago, his family choir all loving his enthusiasm as "their" Seanair be the song "The three craws" or more serious Gaelic Aires that he loved. I miss you Peter and will play you a tune to the sea . Beannach with tears as I write. beannnach gu bragh, good friend.

Tioraidh an-drasda - Seanair Dougie.
