So sorry to hear of this news. I played golf with him at two NZ schoolboys tournaments when we were about 17 years old. I always remember his swing on the golf course and his powers of concentration.A really nice fella.

Peter Burney - lovely neighbour of the Coopers next door in Manurewa many, many years ago - we are so sorry to hear such very sad news - our love to all the Burney family - Vickie (Jadzia), Christine and Louise Cooper

Burney Peter you will be greatly missed by Christine his wife of some 40 years - all your many friends will light a candle in your name and be there for your wife in the years to come.

The Burney family can be proud of Peter, one the most gracious men we have ever met. In his golfing achievements he was always gracious in victory and also in defeat (which wasn't very often!). From what we saw he was gracious to the end. We will miss him a great deal.
