Susie, You were a breath of fresh air and it was such fun knowing you. We loved your creative spirit and shared a love of theatre, music, dance, drama and the performing arts. Thankyou for the many costumes you designed and made and latterly your technical assistance with shows.( Among many things we also especially loved your beautiful guitar playing.)Our love to Brian and your beloved children and grandchildren. We will miss you deeply.

I am remembering a young woman who fell in love with Brian, and with whom I travelled from Auckland to Havelock North in her newly bought car but one that she couldn't drive yet because she still don't have her licence! We sang and laughed and talked our way through State highway 1 and over the hills to Napier and at last to Havelock North. Not just once or twice, but several times. Susie was determined and focussed and driven. She loved the clavichord Brian made and spent time tuning it and loving it. I also remember a very happy day in the summer of 1975 3 January. We both wore the same wedding dress! A few months apart - not on the same day of course!! Since then our paths haven't crossed so often - I live in London and she has lived in the Bay of Plenty. But my memories of her are fond ones. And now she has eternal rest. We are richer for having known her. Thank you for living life well. Go in peace dear Susie. Love, Chris Elliott.
