Jimmy Kennedy Obituary

BRADY Jimmy Don Kennedy, 77, of Brady, Texas, and formerly of Odessa, Texas, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, in Brady. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013, at Crestview Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. Initial care was entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home in Brady.
Jimmy was born on October 3, 1935, in Stanton, Texas, to Ott Kennedy and Winnie Edith (Palmer) Kennedy. He was a graduate of Odessa High School, a member of the Elks Lodge in Odessa, and a Baptist. Jimmy married Lillie Faye Armstrong on January 21, 1954, in Monahans, Texas. Jimmy was a postal carrier in Odessa for 32 years and in a management position with the post office for another 5 years. They had been McCulloch County residents for 19 years, having moved here from Odessa in 1994.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter; Pam Boyd; an infant son, Jimmy Kennedy Jr.; one son-in-law, Ronald Wayne Perego.
Survivors include: wife, Faye Kennedy of Brady; daughter, Brenda Perego of Odessa; son-in-law, Harlan (Skipper) Boyd of Gardendale, TX; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
