Dear Musial Family,
The grace and dignity you have shown to St. Louis and the world in the passing of your beloved father and grandfather is a model to us all.

I grew up loving Stan the Man as he was my father's favorite; further proof that my father was once again "right." We all have different Stan Musial stories and memories to share, but the thread of each story is the same; a good and kind man that loved and respected people, and always acknowledged a kid.

Ironically, my family and I talked on Saturday, Jan.22nd at lunch about Stan the Man as I was expressing my plans to take my two year old grandson to his first Cardinal game, and teach him about the best ball player of all time.

Thank you for the thrills and wonderful memories, Mr. Musial. You deserved the respect, and admiration you earned by showing generations the lessons of a life well lived.

I bet that when my father walks up to you in Heaven, you will cordially shake his hand and greet him as a long time friend. Rest in peace #6 !!!

A St. Louisian

If I had the choice of meeting any single player in the history of MLB, it would be Stan The Man Musial. From a life long Braves fan.
