Robert Fosnot Obituary
He was born October 20, 1938, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Ralph and Mary Alice Paul Fosnot.
Mr. Fosnot was the beloved husband of 50 years to Linda Fosnot and loving father of Mike (Terry Yandrich), Tim and Brian Fosnot.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother.
He was a proud 1956 graduate of Martins Ferry High School. He was also a graduate of Arizona State University.
Mr. Fosnot's entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own company and later begin several family ventures. He had a passion for baseball and was a longtime coach in his community and at Washington & Jefferson College. He enjoyed being a member of Pittsburgh Pirates Booster's Club and attending spring training in Sarasota, Fla. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers fan.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 29, in St. Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church, 120 Abington Drive, McMurray, PA 15317. A committal service and burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15232, https://donation.upmc.com.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Mr.Fosnot was one of my most favorite patients. He was always smiling and cheerful throughout his illness.He will be missed.God needed another angel......

Fossie was a special man. He was a great friend and more importantly he was a source of support to all who knew him. A successful business man who also devoted years of coaching thousands of young men in baseball in Peters Twp. and at W J college. He was a quiet Giant. He will be missed. John and Barb Luckhardt

Linda & family,
I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Fosnot's passing. It was an honor to care for him at the Beckwith Center. He was a courageous man that taught me alot about life. He always had a smile on his face & a kind word no matter how sick he was. It was nice sharing our pirated stories. You have a wonderful & loving family that I am honored to have met. He is not suffering anymore. He is now your guardian angel.
