FRANCES HAUGER, 85
Ocala - Mrs. Frances Hauger Shaffer, 85, passed away on June 8, 2015 in Ocala, FL.
She was born in Stahlstown, PA on March 23, 1930. Frances was a Registered Nurse.
She moved to this area in 2000 from Charlotte, NC. Frances was an Artistic woman who excelled at china painting, quilting, crocheting and basket weaving. She was a great lover of pets, especially Persian Cats and Poodles. She was a member of the Ocala Palms Worship Community and two Red Hatters groups (Scarlett Swans and the Fillies).
Frances is predeceased by a son Richard. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Fred; her son, Gregory S. Shaffer of Chandler, AZ; her daughter, Joan L Shaffer (Al) of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Rebecca K. Shaffer, Amelia Nakanishi and Bethany Nakanishi; one great-grandson, Murat G. Kanik.
A gathering of friends will take place at the Roberts Funeral Homes West Chapel Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 10AM to 12 PM with a funeral service to take place at 10AM.
