We are so sad to hear of Don's passing. Rick served with him in the Navy's GPR program at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. We had such great time with y'all and think of you often. We loved Don's sense of humor and how he always wanted to dance the 'shag'. We realize that it has been several years but wanted you to know we just heard about it and are thinking of you. Our love to you and your family
Rest In Peace Dr. McIntosh. It's been a few years since your passing, but I just heard the shocking news. My sincere condolences to your family and friends.
I just found out about your loss! I was so shocked. My heart goes out to you all! Donald is with his Dad and Mom and in HIS loving care. What a great man he was! God Bless you all! Praying for you, Denise McCormick-VanHaelst--Thomaston, GA
To Dr. Mac's Family, Staff and Friends,
I am so sad to hear about Dr. Mac's passing. I have lived in GA for the past 3 years now and just heard the news. Dr. Mac perfomred about 6 gum grafts for me a few years back and I am so grateful and blessed to have had him for a dentist and to have known him. He was so gentle and such a smart man with a great sense of humor! His staff was exceptional and so friendly, my heart aches for you all.
I never had the pleasure of meeting his wife and daughters but please know that you are in my thoughts and my prayers. I pray God gives you comfort and peace.
With sympathy and prayers....
Marcie Davis (patient)
Becky and Layna,
I was shocked to find out that Don died. I was at the Perio Meeting on Miami and met Rick Young and he told me the sad news. During our residencies at U of FL he was always upbeat, cheerful and laid back. I remember visiting the office soon before he opened it in 1989. I cannot imagine your grief. He was so young at 58. I am in shock. If there is anything I can do please contact me.
I just found out your gone. You will be missed. My husband was referred to you. When we came in you worked with him and sometimes it can be hard to communicate with my husband because he's deaf. You took your time so that he knew everything that was going on. The work you did was second to none. All the work you've done looks exceptionally nice. I knew we had a charm when I saw the work you had done. I pray that God will send his Angels to be with your family. We will pray for them too. I'm sure God has a plan for you but I want to be selfish and keep you here with us. I hope you will find your place with the lord and look down on the Dentists trying to fill your place, they will need your help. We will say a prayer at our next worship for you and your family. R.I.P. you will be missed.
Keith & Joanna
I just heard of the loss. Our condolences go out to his family. He was one of the best we have. My husband was referred to Dr. Mac by Dr. Samarkos and I feel it won't be easy to replace him. I love the staff there. They are also one of a kind. My husband needs to have more surgery and I feel noone will do the job Dr. Mac would have done. I don't know what will happen now. I guess we'll wait for a phone call. We're feeling the loss. May the Angels be with his family through out these trying times. God bless you all.

I just heard today of Dr. Mac's passing. My heart felt condolences go to his family. He was the greatest periodontist and was referred to me by a dentist who left the area, Dr. Gordon. I actually had a surgery scheduled this Thursday and am at a loss as to where I will go. I had an horiffic experience with a long term periodontist in the area 15 plus years ago and was referred to Dr. Mac. at that time. His staff is the best and now with more surgery needed I am at a complete loss.
I just heard of his passing yesterday and am so sorry. May the Lord be with his family during this most difficult time. Our community has truely lost one of the best periodontist we could have ever been blessed with. Dr. Mac. you will be greatly missed. (Do you know he even gave himself an injection in his lower lip once to show our son that he'd be okay, that it wouldn't hurt too much.) He was a fantastic person who went above and beyond which shows the dedication he gave to his patients. We will always remember his big smile and terrific sense of humor.
I arrived home late last evening from an extended out of state trip to hear of Don's passing. As a referring dentist to Don over many years I wanted to relate that I never once had any doubt whatsoever as to my patients being in the very best of hands. He embodied the utmost integrity, the very best of clinical skills, combined with a genuine caring and loving spirit. On a personal level, his smile and ready ability to laugh was authentic and from his heart. I am saddened but at the same time joyous in knowing the good he did while with us. My deepest sympathies to his family and my hope that these words may in some way bring comfort to each. I look forward to seeing Don again some day on the other side.
Stanley M. Gordon, D.D.S.
Dear Becky and Family:

Becky: It has been to many years since we have seen you. We can never forget Don and all he did for our patients and also our daughter Stephanie. MOst of all his laugh and smile. I pray for peace at this time for you and the family and please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Dr. Mac was a giving and genuine person. I'll never forget the generous hospitality he showed me on several occasions. When I think about him I hear his voice, remember his smile and his laugh and then I realize how he will be truly missed by everybody that had the chance to know him...
My deepest sympathy. It is well known in the dental community his amazing skill, the loving loyalty of his staff, and how much the patients loved him. As a hygienist, he was someone I trusted for my patients care and I have never known anyone of equal skill let alone how much he cared about the patients. No one could do a connective tissue graft like him. He was also a generous man. He gave toothbrushes that I took to Haiti and he was so kind. I just know he will be remembered for all the wonderful things that he was and that is a life well lived. Liza Case, R.D.H.
Dear Becky, Layna, and Kayla:
Our thoughts and prayers are wtih you at this difficult time. To know him was to love him and we did. His laughter and happiness was contagious. We will miss him.

My heart is saddened by Dr. Mac's passing. He was my peridontist for longer than I care to admit. He always laughed at my jokes no matter how lame they were. You couldn't help but like that huge smile and shiney bald head!
He will be truly missed by not only me, but all of his patients.
Becky & Family,
Dr. Mac was so dear to me. He always greeted me with a smile. I, too, was a patient and now I feel the loss of a friend. May you find peace and comfort through the sunshine of God's divine will. Your Friend, Rae

Donald was one of five Clay Mountain boys. Now, there are only two -- his brother, Ted, and myself, Hank, having been preceded in death by Stevue B. and David L. Becky and family, you are in my prayers...hank
Dear Becky and family, There are no words of comfort at this terrible time. All we can say is our prayers are with you all. We love you and we will miss Donald. As Chris said: "The world will never be the same without Donal McIntosh and his great smile in it"
Ann and Chris Rowland
Becky and family, may God be with you and your family during this sorrowful time. My prayers are with all of you that God will give you strength and wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you. Ted, we, Kathy's family, are all here for you. With loving thoughts and prayers....
I offer Romans 15:13 as comfort for the family. If I remember correctly Dr. McIntosh has been my periodontist since the late 1980's. I was sent to him as a referral from Dr. Claire Pitts Brown, who preceded him in death. In all of those years Dr. McIntosh was always the ultimate professional, and he promised to help me keep my original teeh until my death. Now, what? who? will help me? Family, know that everything God does is perfect. I know Dr. McIntosh is Resting in Jesus' arms now.
Dr. Mac was a wonderful man...My prayers are with you and your family Becky, and I wish peace for you and your family in this time of difficulty. And for all of Dr. Mac's staff, I wish for peace for you as well. Love you dearly, and will miss him. Cheryl
We were shocked and saddened to read of Donald's death. He was such a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face. May his memory be a blessing to those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Love, Sid and Marcia
My thoughts and prayers are with you and family in your time of grief. Dr. Mc was a great boss and friend. I love you and Dr. Mc as my family and will miss him. With Love, Brenda
