To the family and friends of Sally Gordon,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Gordon embraced life in these difficult times. However, those who die God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes - Psalm 116:15.
Jim, I wanted to meet your mom after hearing you talk about her and hearing a piece on NPR about her contributions to the Nebraska Legislature. She must have been a wonderful woman. My deepest condolences to you, Karen and Celeste, and your family.
I remember Sally well from my days in Centennial College. So glad that she had a long, full life. Condolences to her loved ones.

Just wish to offer my condolences to the family. (Psalm 90:10) In themselves the days of our years are seventy years; And if because of special mightiness they are eighty years. Ms. Gordon ( 102 years) Was blessed with longevity. Although she lived a lone time this does not ease the pain and sorrow. May God give the family and friends strength and peace during this time and in days to come.

A woman's good conduct is becoming to her family. Mrs. Gordon's family, friends, and colleagues could truly say several nice and pleasant things about her. May you have peace and comfort in prayer. Proverb 31:25,27,28.

Can't say enough about this wonder of a woman--W.O.W!!!
I feel like going on!
As sergeant-at-arms Sally would march me back to the legislative floor for a vote gently chastising me for leaving in the first place. She was never gruff as she certainly had a right to be. Gracious lady.
At one time Sally was involved with the Centennial College on the UNL campus when our son Phil was a student there. In subsequent years she never failed to ask about him. Sally loved poeple.
I had the pleasure of watching the documentary on this remarkable woman. She is truly an inspiration to us all as women, mothers, sisters and friend. Her poise and grace never faded, even at 102. What an amazing woman? We should all take notes and jot them down in our own book of life. May Sally rest in peace.
What a lovely tribute to inspirational lady. Service with a pure heart, how proud her family must feel.
Deepest sympathy to the family of a great lady. I hope there will be a novel about her life and in particular the secret to her longevity. Her diet and health habits had to play a role in her being active to such a wonderful age.
Truly one of God's Angels...Rest in Peace Sally...Ralph M. Yonkers, NY

This lovely woman is a true testament to a person who was clearly part of the solution! STARTING a job at age 75? Unbelievable!!! My grandmother worked until her death at age 70. My grandparents and parents both instilled in me a wonderful work ethic that I passed along to my children. I'm blessed to have had that in my life; Ms. Gordon will truly be remembered as one hell of a shining example of hard work and consummate professionalism!
I'M SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE LOST OF YOUR LOVE ONE. MAY GOD COMFORT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. MATTHEW 5:4 SAYS,”BLESSED ARE THEY THAT MOURN: FOR THEY SHALL BE COMFORTED”.
Sounds like quite a lady. Now you can sit back with your feet up, and have a spot of tea. May you rest in peace. Sandi S., Silver Springs, NV

What an AWESOME WOMAN!! I saw the show about her several years ago!!
To the family so sorry for you loss....BE PROUD OF HER!!
What a wonderful person! I'm 60 years old and will graduate from college in December 2012. I'm going into a new field of work, although it is something that I always wanted to do. This gives me even more encouragement and more stigma to do it. She is a mentor to me and I only wish I could meet her in person. May she rest in peace.
It is women like you that inspire women like me.
Sally you were definitely an amazing woman. May your family find comfort in the beautiful memories. May you rest in peace knowing you gave it your all and them some. GOD bless.
May she be in God's memory, for only he has the power to resurrect. She had lived a long life and did many things. -eccl. 7:1 My thoughts go out to your family and sympathize for your loss.
I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. It's comforting to know that God cares for all of us. The Bible gives us hope that one day we can see our loved ones again. On behalf of all mankind Jesus surrendered his soul. John 15:13 says “No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul on behalf of his friends.” I hope these few words will bring you comfort and hope.
What a lady. She should be appreciated beyoung mere words.
What a woman! Godspeed Sally.
What a classy lady! Talk about work ethic... Rest in Peace. You've obviously earned it.
Sally, I know you're not so far away that you cannot hear me. I'm 73, still working and with God's blessing, I will always be working. You are an inspiration to me and always will be. Wish I could have known you! A great Lady is now working with God and the angels.
