Doc as well as his son merle will always be remenber. My wife Tex Isley and Tom Ashley were playing whene Doc was a little boy and doc played a stile as Larry Tex Isley and Merel Travis also . I send my condolences to all .col.Paul Brim

I HAVE HAD THE GREAT PLEASURE OF MEETING AND SPENDING TIME WITH BOTH DOC AND MERLE AND IT WILL STAY WITH ME THE REST OF MY LIFE! BOTH FINE PEOPLE. WHAT A GREAT LOSS TO BOTH THE MUSIC WORLD AND TO THE WORLD IN GENERAL.......WELL AT LEAST DOC'S WITH MERLE AGAIN. REST IN PEACE DOC!

What a wonderful man we were blessed to have in this world for many years. He will be missed by so many. I had the honor of meeting and talking with Mr. Watson a couple of years ago. I will NEVER forget that conversation and the extraordinary man that he was, in so many ways.
